Rare and Stunning 1935 Swallow SS1 Out of 70 Year Ownership with 32k Original Miles



This beautiful SS1 is a rare example of Jaguar's true beginnings.

Black with original red leather interior and with only 32k original miles from new this extremely special tourer built by Swallow Sidecars has been under the same loving ownership for the last 70 years.

Just out of a museum where it has been sitting unused for the last 10 years this SS1 is now ready for mechanical recommissioning.

In 1921William Lyons joined his neighbor in Blackpool England William Walmsley in manufacturing graceful motorcycle sidecars naming their company Swallow Sidecars. By 1926 they were producing car bodies and by 1931were building the SS1.

Special low-slung frames and swooping bodies were the hallmark of these special sporty English cars.
