1977 Ferrari 400 GT with Coachwork by Pininfarina

1977 Ferrari 400 GT

?with Coachwork by Pininfarina

This 1977 Ferrari 400 GT automatic is an attractive original example and strong driver. Blue with blue leather interior. It runs and drives well and shows 54k kilometers. A very presentable car with good paint and a clean interior. Straight body and solid undercarriage. Just out of loving ownership and offered with its jack bag and spare.

Elegant yet sporty coachwork by Pininfarina. Practical yet powerful, the 400 GT was the first Ferrari equipped with an automatic transmission. The 400 GT was unveiled at the 1976 Paris Motor Show as the replacement for the outgoing 365 GT4 2+2. The body was manufactured by Pininfarina at the coachmaker’s Turin factory and featured a 4.8-liter V-12 “Colombo” engine fueled by six Weber carburetors. With output rated at 340 horsepower, the 400s were capable of achieving 60 mph in just over seven seconds, a respectable time for the period. The 400 GT was produced at the Modena factory from 1976 through 1979.

This particular example is one of just 355 automatic transmission-equipped examples produced and represents a wonderful opportunity to own an increasingly collectible Pininfarina designed front-engine carbureted V12 Ferrari.
