This 1954 Mercedes-Benz 300B Adenauer Saloon is a highly original example that would benefit from minor cosmetics and mechanical recommissioning. Ivory with black leather. Just out of long-term ownership and storage. Not currently running as its been off the road for several years. Nice and straight body with good panel fit and door gaps. Considered the Maybach of its time, the 300 saloon succeeded in marking a return to the marques tradition of building high-performance luxury automobiles of the finest quality. The 300 was luxuriously appointed and trimmed with materials of the highest quality. Fast and elegant, it was one of very few contemporary vehicles capable of carrying six passengers in comfort at sustained high speeds.The 300 series was often seen ferrying politicians and celebrities and were acquired by captains of industry and other wealthy individuals. As such, the 300 symbolized the success of their owners. Adenauer became its unofficial model name, after German Chancellor Dr Konrad Adenauer, its most famous customer.
