Over the years, Wartsila has installed new components and control systems. At present, the engine is equipped to operate in three different modes:



1) As a conventional diesel engine using heavy fuel oil (HFO);



2) As a Wartsila 32DF (Dual Fuel) engine using natural gas and light diesel oil;



3 )As a Wartsila GD (Gas Diesel) engine, where gas is compressed to high pressure and injected into the cylinder, ignited by a pilot dose of light diesel oil.



Naturally, to switch between modes, certain components—such as the turbocharger, cylinder liners, pistons, and cylinder heads—must be changed. The engine is currently configured for dual-fuel operation (DF) with diesel-mode liners installed.



The delivery includes a large number of spare parts and accessories.



Expert assistance is available for re-installation by separate agreement.
