Long-Lost 1963 Ferrari 330 America: One of 50 Produced

1963 Ferrari 330 America

This 1963 Ferrari 330 America by Pininfarina is one of only 50 produced and was originally born in stunning light-blue metallic (Azzurro Acrylic Italver) with blue connolly leather. A matching numbers example documented by Ferrari historian Marcel Massini. The 28th of a total of just 50 units built. Chassis 5039 had a factory completion date of October 23rd, 1963 and was shipped from Livorno, Italy to New York, NY on October 30th, 1963. By November it had arrived at Luigi Chinetti Motors in New York. Today, chassis 5039 wears red paint with a tan interior. A California car thats been tucked away in garage storage for the last 20 years in hibernation and is not currently running. The ideal candidate for straightforward restoration.

The 330 America was an interim model produced while Ferrari readied the 250 GTEs replacement, the 330 GT 2+2. A mere 50 330 Americas were produced late in 1963 immediately prior to the 330 GTs announcement in January 1964, thus making this model one of the rarer Ferrari road cars.
