ANNEX: INFORMATION REGARDING CHTRS BACKGROUND.

Note: INFORMATION

The loading of the cargo will be performed by mean of conveyor belts both the two loading ports, and will be discharged by means of a station of transference anchored in Boca de Serpiente, VE; ubication Lat 09º 56´42"N Long 61º 34´48" W and with the machinery of the Port of Point Lisas, Trinidad & Tobago. So, gearless vessels are wellcome in case that geared vessels are difficult to find. We are aware that gearless vessels are cheaper than geared vessels.

The Orinoco Channel experiences variations in depth depending

on the time of year. During times of high intensity of rain from

the end of May to December, the depth in the river

(miles 40 to 198) The inner bar presently is 11.9 feet, 3.52

meters is lesser than that of the outer bar

(miles 0 to 40) the bar presently is 29.9 feet, 6.67 meters

This is what they are referring to when they mention the

inner and outer draft. We hope that the river continues

growing.

With reference to loading and unloading operations in the ports

and at the station of transference Boca Grande, they are carried

out with a "belt conveyor system". If you have to load at mile 60, it is necessary for

the vessel must have loading equipment (own cranes and grabs) but

gearless would be acceptable if geared vessels are not available. NEOPANAMAX type vessels are preferred. Because in high waters you can load a maximum load in Paula and Pto Ordaz and in low waters 80K tons of iron ore.
