Technical Specifications for 2,000 HP Oil Rigs

1. Power System:

- Total Power: 2,000 hp (approximately 1,491 kW).

- Engine Type: Diesel-electric or diesel-mechanical.

- Drive System: Relies on AC/DC generators or SCR (Silicon Controlled Rectifier) systems for

power control.

- Power Transmission: Via track systems or hydraulic torque converters to operate drilling

equipment such as winches and mud pumps.

2. Hoisting System:

- Load Capacity: Up to 400-500 tons (800,000-1,000,000 lbs), enabling the lifting of heavy drilling

columns.

- Derrick: 40-50 meters high, designed to withstand heavy loads and high winds.
